Family and Community
To ensure that all children are seen and heard, educators need the support of parents and families — a school's most valuable partners.
Whatever happens in school, parents and families must live with the out-of-school implications. If your children are stressed in school, you see it. When they're happy, you know it. Because you know your children better than anyone else, and so have critically valuable perspectives to share.
What is it like for you when your child is learning to use her voice at school — and then wants to use it at home? What challenges do you face? What rewards do you see? What stories do you have to share?
In short, what do educators need to know about how their work impacts your relationships with your children? What ideas can you share with other families? And how are YOU able to be seen and heard in your child's educational community?
